The Ackermans

From Pueblo West comes one of COlorado's premier three-piece family acoustic fiddle bands, The Ackermans! They feature eldest son Aaron on the fiddle, mandolin and guitar. Jeremy, the middle son is featured on guitar and banjo. Randy, the dad of the outfit is on the upright bass. They do material ranging from old time fiddle dance tunes to bluegrass ballads to favorites like "The Orange Blossom SPecial." Sometimes, if you're lucky, the still bring their youngest sibling, sister Rebekah along to sing you a song or play the banjo. They were selected to the one of the showcase bands at the 2004 Mid-Winter Bluegrass festival in Denver, Colorado and the High Mountain Hay Fever Bluegrass Festival. They also perform at the nationally known traditional theme park, Silver Dollar City during the Festival of American Music and Craftsmanship.
