Vic Anderson, Poet Historian - Yodeler - Rope Twirler

Vic Anderson was born and raised in Montana on a ranch,
weaned on horses, cattle, sheep, haying and farming. Vic began playing
professionally at age thirteen, and has been a side-man for several
country western and western recording artists. In 1977 Vic and his
brother Rich, recorded in Nashville and earned them an invitation
to play "The Louisiana Hayride".
He performs classic western music and poetry, writes and performs
his own music, poetry, stories and tall tales. Vic is well known
for his yodeling, whistling, and being a rope spinner.
He is the Western Music Association's 2003 Male Yodeling Champ. He now resides in Estes Park, Colorado. Vic spent may years as a working cowboy and h came from a musical family. His Scottish ancestors were troubadours for generations. He learned to play guitar from his grandmother, who also taught him harmonica and bagpipes. Vic's mother played him and his siblings to sleep nearly every night with honky-tonk piano music. His Dad, "Pops", played harmonica and button accordion.
