Eli Barsi, Western Musician
|
Passion, Ambition, and Commitment is what drives Eli Barsi. It's these things
along with many other elements that make Eli a strong independent
International artist. Her original vocal, song writing skills, yodeling
talents and musicianship make her a hard working artist that's in
demand. Eli's enthusiastic performances deliver high energy with an
unclouded relaxed sound that audiences find irresistible.
At the tender age of nine years old, Eli stepped on stage of the
Kennedy Saskatchewan Legion Hall to perform for the Canadian Lieutenant
Governor. Little did she know that this performance was the start
of a promising career. Since that performance Eli continuously proceeds
on making music her life career, insisting on always giving her
best in every facet of the business. She says "I didn't pick
music, it picked me". "It was always there".
Eli, originally a farm girl, has always had this love and drive
to perform music. She grew up listening to music from Wilf Carter,
Kitty Wells and the Carter Family. It became very evident at an
early age that Eli would be destined to live a life of music. Eli
started musically singing at the age of three although her first
live performance wasn't until the age of nine. Throughout the years
Eli started to learn various instruments including keyboard and
guitar. After a short while she was playing mandolin, autoharp,
tenor banjo and writing songs.
From playing at school functions to playing at College functions,
Eli took a giant leap and experienced life on the road as a full-time
musician. Now, with sixteen years of steady professional playing
and eight years recording experience, Eli continues her climb in
the music business.
Eli has successfully released eight Canadian charting singles with
three reaching the Top 20. Videos were filmed to support three of
the singles and received great rotation from CMT Canada.
