Michael Burns, Western Singer & Cowboy Poet

From the beautiful foothills of the Canadian ROckies, Mike Burns has been entertaining folks with his smooth vocal stylings of old cowboy ballads and gospel songs as a regular performer at Cowboy Poetry and Music Gatherings, Cowboy Churches and western festivals throughout Western Canada and the USA.
He also writes and performs his own brand of traditional cowboy songs and poems and, when he's not singing or reciting, you can find him backing up other musicians with the "dog house" bass. With a unique blend of old and new, Mike hopes to evoke an emotional response from the listener about a lifestyle that is still alive and he absolutely refuses to turn loose of what is good from the past.
Currently, Mike serves as the Secretary-Treasurer of the Alberta Cowboy Poetry Association.
