Janet McBride, Cowboy Poet - Cowboy Singer - Yodeler - Historian

Elected to board of directors of the Western Music Association
in November 1998 to present. Elected to board of directors of the
Cowtown Opry in the stockyards of Fort Worth Texas. I have been
performing since 1940 1 have been recording professionally since
1960. I have owned my own recording company since 1963, I have owned
my own publishing company since 1963. I have been a professional
songwriter since 1960. I have owned and operated my own country
music show which ran for nearly 15 years with the show being presented
every Saturday night. I have provided a stage, encouragement and
advice in the music business for many young and older artists alike
providing them with information on how to publish their songs, copyright
their music, record their music, book themselves and even taught
some to yodel. I still teach the art of yodeling to anyone who asks.
Janet has been a finalist for Western Music Association's female
artist of the year 1997-98-99-2000 as well as a finalist for the
Academy of Western Artists Awards 1996-97-98-99-2000.
(This short biography does not do justice to the multi-talented
Janet McBride. Her voice is amazing especially when yodeling. Her
knowledge of the history of the West is almost without peer. everyone
who has had the pleasure of her company is in awe.)
